Harold Eugene “Bud” Ferguson, 72, of Russell, passed away at his home on Friday evening, June 19, 2020.
Bud was born December 19, 1947 in Ironton, Ohio to the late James S. and Esther L. Rice Ferguson.
Bud proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He went on to retire as a Supervisor, after 25 years of service, with Catlettsburg Electro Status.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by brothers, James S., James E. and John Charles Ferguson and two great grandchildren, Noella Grace Anne Pruitt and Liam Lee Thompson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Karen Blevins Ferguson; two daughters, Raymona F. Pemberton (Bill) of Westwood and Carly A. Conley (Scott) of Michigan; one son, Matthew W. Ferguson of Russell; one sister, Jean Hewlett (Delmar) of Worthington; eight grandchildren, Andrew Ardire (Meghan), Keely Riffe, Tyler Riffe, Evan Pemberton, Dane Ferguson (Chanda), Jasmine Clarke, Ethan Thompson (Sydne Humlicek) and Carter Conley; seven great grandchildren, Spencer, Jaylah, Tate, Ella, Luke, Mia and Finn; and extended family and friends.
Service was conducted Thursday, June 25, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast by brother-in-law, Delmar Hewlett. Military honors were provided by the United States Air Force and the Kenova American Legion Post #93
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Caniff Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses or Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101. The Family has entrusted Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood with arrangements.
