Charles Edward “Chuck” Gipson, Jr. AKA “Huckleberry,” 63, of Ironton passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his residence.
Chuck was born June 8, 1957 in Boyd County, Kentucky to the late Charles Edward Gipson Sr. and Malvie Wilson Gipson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffery Scott Gipson.
Chuck loved working on cars and was a self employed mechanic. He previously worked at McDonalds, Rumpke Recycling, Erby’s Tower Construction, and as a manager at Bob Evans and Shoney’s. He also loved playing golf games and Call of Duty with his nephews.
He leaves behind three children, Stephanie Turley of West Virginia, Rodney Gipson of Ironton, and Travis Kates of Ney, OH; eight brothers and sisters, Libby Hunt and Peggy Adams, both of South Point, David Gipson of Birmingham, AL, Robin Mullins of Ashland, Jonathan Gipson of Ironton, Rick Gipson, Autumn Whitt and Jason Gipson all of Ashland; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Chuck was considered “Daddy” to many, including many he helped to raise. He will be missed by all who loved him.
