King’s Daughters Welcomes Gastroenterologist Liege Diaz, M.D.
King’s Daughters is pleased to welcome gastroenterologist Liege Diaz, M.D., to its team.
Dr. Diaz joins gastroenterologists Cheryl Bascom, M.D., Arthur Gaing, M.D., Garfield Grandison, M.D., and Diane Settles, M.D., at KDMS Gastroenterology.
Dr. Diaz completed medical school at the University of Panama School of Medicine, Panama City, Panama. She completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Fla. She also completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center/ University of South Florida, Tampa, Fla.
Dr. Diaz is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in gastroenterology.
Dr. Diaz specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, pancreas, liver, gallbladder and biliary system. Her training includes advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) for mediastinal and gastrointestinal neoplasm, pancreatic cysts, celiac plexus block, and esophageal ablation therapies, among other advanced gastrointestinal procedures.

Orthopedic Surgeon Now Seeing Patients in Russell
Orthopedic surgeon Sinan Ozgur, M.D., is now seeing patients at King’s Daughters Medical Specialties — Russell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, 399 Diederich Blvd., Russell.
Sinan Ozgur, M.D., earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed orthopedic surgery residency at Joan C. Edwards Marshall University School of Medicine. He is fellowship-trained by the San Francisco Shoulder, Elbow and Hand Clinic and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Ozgur specializes in shoulder, hand and elbow injuries; total and reverse shoulder replacement; shoulder revisions; arthroscopic rotator cuff repair; arthroscopic labral repair; trigger finger; carpal tunnel; and cubital tunnel. He also sees patients in Ashland and Prestonsburg.
