Fastpitch Highlights

Ashland 0-3

   The Kittens dropped their first three games to open the season beginning with a 14-0 setback to Law-rence County followed by losses to Letcher County Central 4-1 and Johnson Central 3-2.

   Ashland hosted Greenup County Monday night, at Fairview tonight and Raceland Thursday.

Boyd County 3-0

   The Lady Lions bats were on fire as Boyd County opened the season with three straight wins, 22-1 over Prestonsburg Monday and picked up two wins Saturday  against West Carter 19-4 and Paintsville 17-9.

   Jaycee Goad was 6-7 in the two games Saturday with four home runs and eight RBIs.

   Boyd County faced Fairview Monday, at Elliott County Thursday, host Morgan County Friday and closes out the week against Fleming County and Mason County Saturday.

Fairview 3-0

   The Lady Eagles were perfect for the week with wins over Menifee County 7-2, Elliott County 16-1 and West Carter 11-10.

   Fairview pounded out 15 hits in the win over West Carter. Shelby Gibson was 3 for 4 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored. Sydney Johnson, Madison Loving, Annabelle Menshouse and Carole Shan-non each had two RBIs.

   Fairview faced Boyd County Monday, host Ashland tonight, at Hannan Thursday and returns home to face Buckhorn Saturday.

Greenup County 1-0

   Skyler Lawrence drove in three runs in the Lady Musketeers’ 7-5 win over Fleming County. Greenup County faced Ashland last night, at Rowan County Thursday and host Powell County Saturday.

Raceland 1-1

   The Lady Rams opened the season with a five inning 15-5 win over Johnson Central followed by a 5-4 set-back to Fleming County. The Lady Rams faced Lewis County Monday, will be at home against Ashland Thursday and at Lincoln County Friday.

Russell 3-2

   The Lady Devils opened the season 2-0 before dropping two of their next three games. Russell fell 9-3 to Bath County and split a pair against Pike County Central 4-9 and 4-3 in eight innings. The Lady Devils host Rowan County tonight, Elliott County Thursday and travels to Menifee County Saturday.
