64th DISTRICT

ASHLAND 5-13

   Ashland went 0-3 this week with losses to Russell, 12-1 in six innings, Montgomery County, 22-4 and Huntington, 13-11.

   Jenna Delaney went 2 for 3 with a double in Ashland’s loss to Russell. Grace Delaney and Aubrey McCreary added a hit.

   Jenna Delaney hit a three-run homer against Huntington.

   Ashland visits Boyd County Tuesday and welcomes Fairview Thursday.

BOYD COUNTY 14-4

   Boyd County went 3-2 this week with wins over Mason County, Spring Valley and Huntington. Boyd County fell to Lewis County 11-0 in five innings and Ironton, 3-2.

   Kyli Kouns and Sara Bays had three hits to lead the Lions to a 19-6 win over Mason County. Kouns had a double and drove in two. Makenna Mulhearn and Myla Hamilton drove in three. Jaycie Goad homered.

   Boyd County knocked off Spring Valley, 6-5. Savannah Henderson and Goad had a pair of hits. Kylie Thompson allowed five hits and struck out three in a complete-game effort from the circle.

   Addison Miller, Goad and Kouns each had a pair of hits in the Lions 10-7 win over Huntington. Goad drove in five with a single and home run. Bays doubled and drove in two.

   Boyd County welcomes Ashland Tuesday, Russell Thursday, Greenup County Friday and Tates Creek Saturday.

FAIRVIEW 8-6

   Fairview went 2-3 this week with wins over Hannan, WV and losses to West Carter and East Carter.

   Fairview fell to West Carter in the 16th Region All “A” semifinals, 9-3. Shelby Gibson went 2 for 3 in the loss while driving in a run. Kailyn Adkins homered. Carole Shannon had a double.

   Annabelle Menshouse tossed a complete game in a 13-2 win over Hannan. She struck out nine and allowed only four hits. Gibson went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles and drove in five. Adkins added a double.

   Marista Tackett had a pair of doubles and drove in five in Fairview’s 21-1 win over Hannan. Menshouse drove in two with a home run.

   Fairview visits Augusta Monday, Lewis County Wednesday, Ashland Thursday, welcomes Grace Christian Friday and Martin County Saturday.

63rd DISTRICT

RACELAND 12-5-1

   Raceland went 4-1-1 this week with wins over Elliott County and West Carter in the All “A” Regional Tournament. The Rams defeated Wayne 12-2, Scott, WV 14-4, fell to Boyle County 13-10 and ended in a 13-13 tie with Cabell Midland.

   Kali Vance homered twice and drove in four and Makenzie Bradley went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles as Raceland defeated West Carter 16-0 in the championship of the All “A” Regional Tournament. Davanna Grubb allowed only one hit over four innings and struck out eight.

   Baylee Burney tripled and Byrna Wellman, Reagan Mackie and Vance doubled in the Rams 13-10 loss to Boyle County in nine innings.

   Grubb went 3 for 4 and drove in three to lead Raceland over Scott. Burney doubled in the win.

   Vance delivered two home runs, including a grand slam while driving in six against Cabell Midland. Wellman, Grubb and Makena Francis drove in two.

   Raceland welcomes Lewis County Tuesday and visits Greenup County Thursday.

RUSSELL 7-11

   Russell went 1-1 this week with a win over Ashland and a 5-2 loss to Spring Valley.

   Audrey Patel held Ashland to four hits, allowed one run and struck out six to lead Russell to a 12-1 win. Haylee Thornsbury went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles and 2RBI. Jayla Chalupa went 3 for 4 and drove in four. Paige Hutchinson tripled.

   Russell visits Martin County Monday, Fairland Tuesday and Boyd County Thursday.

GREENUP COUNTY 11-7

   Greenup County went 3-1 this week with wins over Fleming County, Mason County and Sacred Heart and a loss to Rowan County in the championship of the Kentucky 2A Sectional.

   Kaylie Lawrence tossed a complete game and struck out four in a 10-4 win over Fleming County. Skyler Lawrence and Adrian Wells had three hits. Wells had a pair of doubles and drove in three. Laela Matthews tripled.

   Josey Kegley tossed a complete game and struck out eight in Greenup County’s 10-0 win over Mason County. Kam Chapman went 3 for 4 with two doubles and 2RBI. Kegley and Kaylie Lawrence homered.

   Kaylie Lawrence picked up the win against Sacred Heart, 9-1 while striking out six. Skyler Lawrence went 3 for 4. Rilee Dillow, Matthews and Chapman each had a pair of hits. Kaylie Lawrence drove in three. She and Matthews homered.

   Greenup County visits Lewis County Monday, welcomes Raceland Thursday and visits Boyd County Friday.
