64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 14-18

   Ashland went 1-4 this week with a win over Huntington High and losses to Spring Valley, Boyd County, Pikeville and Greenup County.

   Ashland fell 4-3 to Spring Valley. Ryan Brown went 3 for 4 at the plate with a triple. Sawyer Edens and LaBryant Strader doubled and drove in a run. Brown went the distance on the bump in the losing effort while striking out eight.

   Ashland lost to Boyd, 7-2. Edens went 2 for 4 with a double in the loss. Colin Howard drove in both Ashland runs.

   Ashland fell to Pikeville, 9-5 and Greenup County, 9-8 and defeated Huntington, 6-5 in the Peoples Bank Classic. Jayce Mayes went the distance on the mound in the win over Huntington.

   Ashland meets Russell Monday in the Morehead State Showcase in Morehead, welcomes Greenup County Tuesday, visits Lawrence County Thursday and welcomes Pikeville Friday to close the regular season.

   

BOYD COUNTY 19-6-2

   Boyd County went 2-1 this week with wins over Ashland and Wolfe County and a loss to Paintsville.

   Jacob Vanover went the distance for the Lions for the win. He added a double and a pair of RBI. Gunner Gerahart and Brogan Jones went 2 for 3 with a double and 2RBI. JK McKnight added a triple.

   Boyd County defeated Wolfe County, 12-2 in five innings and fell to Paintsville, 6-0. The Lions managed only three hits in the loss to the Tigers.

   Boyd County welcomes Ironton Monday and visits East Carter Wednesday to close the regular season.

FAIRVIEW 13-11

   Fairview went 4-1 this week with wins over New Boston, Rose Hill, Coal Grove and Lewis County and a loss to Lewis County.

   Fairview defeated New Boston, 17-3 in five innings. Tamel Smith and Izaac Johnson each had three hits. Smith tripled. Tanner Reihs doubled and drove in a pair.

   Fairview defeated Rose Hill, 10-2. Izaac Johnson tossed a complete game and struck out 15 while giving up only two hits. Xavien Kouns went 4 for 5 with a double. Ashton Hensley, Smith and Johnson doubled.

   Fairview knocked off Coal Grove, 16-6 in five innings and split a twin bill with Lewis County with a 5-3 win in eight innings and a 7-2 loss.

   Fairview visits South Point Tuesday, welcomes Green, OH Wednesday, Elliott County Thursday and closes the regular season at Symmes Valley Friday.

ROSE HILL 5-9

   Rose Hill went 1-3 this week with a 7-6 win over Portsmouth, a 14-0 loss to Tolsia, a 10-2 loss to Fairview and a 20-4 loss to Menifee County in six innings. No stats were reported.

   Rose Hill welcomes Elliott County Monday, visits Elkview, WV Tuesday and closes the season with a visit from West Carter on Thursday.

63rd DISTRICT

RACELAND 19-8

   Raceland went 4-1 this week with a pair of wins over Lewis County, Morgan County and Paris and a loss to East Carter.

   The Rams defeated Lewis County, 9-1 in Game 1. Eli Lynd went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Clay Coldiron, Brayden Webb and Conner Hughes had a pair of hits. Kadin Shore tossed a complete game and struck out nine.

   Raceland took Game 2, 10-0 in six innings. Lynd went 4 for 4 with a double and 4RBI. Parker Fannin went 2 for 3 with a double and triple and a pair of RBIs. Parker Ison doubled. Webb tossed a complete game, allowed only three hits and struck out six.

   Raceland was held to only four hits in a 7-6 loss to East Carter. Lynd had a double.

   Raceland defeated Morgan County, 12-2 in five innings. Fannin went 3 for 3 with a double. Connor Thacker, Hughes and Shore each drove in two. Thacker struck out eight while allowing only four hits.

   Raceland defeated Paris, 12-2 in five innings. Webb went 2 for 3 with a triple and 2RBI. Hughes and Thacker drove in two.

   Raceland welcomes Bath County Monday, visits Lawrence County Wednesday and welcome Coal Grove Friday to close the regular season.

 

RUSSELL 11-15

   Russell went 1-2 this week with a win over Greenup County and losses to Greenup County and Fairland.

   Russell fell to Greenup, 2-1 in Game 1. Trey Berry went 2 for 3 with a home run. Kyle Mokas gave up only one earned run and struck out five.

   Russell knocked off Greenup, 4-2 in Game 2. Nathan Totten went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Ethan Oborne homered.

   Russell loss to Fairland, 9-6. No stats were reported.

   Russell meets Ashland Monday at Morehead State and welcomes East Carter Friday to close out the regular season.

GREENUP COUNTY

15-16

   Greenup County went 2-2 this week with wins over Russell and Ashland and losses to Russell and Pikeville.

   Greenup defeated Russell, 2-1 in Game 1. Carson Wireman struck out 11 and allowed only one run in the win. Jack Gullett went 2 for 3 with a double. Gavin Roy drove in two. Greenup fell in Game 2, 4-2.

   Greenup fell to Pikeville, 8-5 and defeated Ashland, 9-8 in the Peoples Bank Classic. The Musketeers rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh against the Tomcats with Hunter Clevenger knocking in the winning run.

   Greenup welcomes South Webster Monday, visits Ashland Tuesday, East Carter Thursday and Lawrence County Friday to close the regular season.
