   Birds build their nests with a complex process of precision with interlacing and knotting.  There is no one size fits all design. Birds need a strong, safe, and secure place in which to lay their eggs. Nests need to be strong enough to endure the elements.  The same concept holds true when building a successful business to ensure the comfort and security of customers. A business must have the right materials in place.

   Part of healthy living involves taking the time for relaxation and mindfulness.  You need to free your body from tension and anxiety, feel acceptance and be fully engaged in your surroundings.  This experience is possible when you visit The Nest Day Spa in Russell. This thriving business is celebrating its second year anniversary this July.  It’s no surprise The Nest continues to grow with its peaceful atmosphere and friendly customer service.

   Tracy Frye, Jordan Hall and Erin Quillen are the masterminds behind building The Nest.  Their journey to becoming business partners and family all started with a brainstorm idea on a napkin.  Frye shared, “The idea for the Nest actually started on a paper napkin while I was at dinner celebrating my daughter Rachel’s birthday.  From there, it grew into an idea to create a space in our hometown for people to rest and find joy…a place where people could come to relax and take care of themselves.  As soon as I had the idea for The Nest, I knew that it would take a very special person to manage and oversee it. Only one person came to mind–Jordan Hall.  Jordan already had a very busy business of her own and was an award-winning massage therapist.  So, I contacted her and asked her to meet with me.  She was pregnant with her daughter Piper …I bought her a grilled cheese and the rest, as they say, is history.  After only one meeting, we knew we shared the same vision for The Nest.  Jordan agreed to manage the spa and to help build the space and environment that we needed for The Nest. As we began planning, we decided to do a ‘touch of medical’ injecting, but only if we could find someone who we totally trusted and who fit in with our vision.  We put a few feelers out into our community and the person who kept coming up...Erin Quillen. After our first meeting with Erin, we knew we wanted her as part of our team.  Her attention to detail, her training and experience, and her love of aesthetics made her the perfect fit for our vision.  From that meeting after only being open a year …we built, designed, and opened the Aesthetic Center at The Nest.” 

   The three ladies all shared a common vision and goal in building the business.

   Hall stated, “Our shared vision is that we have the best of the best for providers.  Our Nest team is hand selected, and they are each fabulous. We focus on training and encourage our staff to continue training and learning.  We love being able to provide all the new and exciting things at The Nest. We want each of our clients to have an awesome experience every time they walk through our doors. Every detail matters to us. We have been blessed and are so thankful for our clients and the community support we receive.”

   Frye commented, “Along with our common vision for The Nest, we also share in a common goal that all women, including our beautiful daughters Rachel, Harper, and Piper, know they are beautiful and that they always, always have a place to rest and find JOY.” 

   A visit to The Nest is quite enjoyable and one you will never forget. The attention to detail make each visit special for the client. Hall described the experience best: “As guests enter the day spa, all senses are engaged - a hint of essential oils, the tranquil sound of spa music, the dimmed modern lighting, the luxury plush lounge chairs in the relaxation room and fresh spa water served.  A personal spa attendant greets guests and guides them through their spa experience.    Year number two is just the beginning; the future looks bright for The Nest Day Spa!  Frye hinted at some intriguing news, “As for the future, we have a big exciting announcement coming soon. But, all we can say for now is our next adventure will have the same attention to detail, will allow us to hire more staff and will allow us to provide new opportunities for an unlimited amount of people.  We are excited!”
