ASHLAND 16-4
Ashland went 6-1 this week with straight set wins over Fairview, Fleming County, East Carter, Rowan County and Shelby Valley and a 2-0 loss to Boyd in the Boyd County Invitational.
Khia Robinson had 16 kills in the win over Fairview. Olivia Hutchinson added five.
Robinson had 12 kills in the win over Fleming. Olivia Wiley added six. Bentley Rogers had five aces.
Robinson registered 17 kills in the win over East Carter. Hutchinson had seven.
Ashland welcomes Raceland Thursday.
BOYD COUNTY 14-2
Boyd County went 5-0 this week with straight set wins over Raceland, Fairview, Ashland, Rowan County and Shelby Valley.
Audrey Biggs had 10 kills and Taylor Bartrum added nine in the win over Raceland. Biggs added 10 blocks.
No stats were reported from the four wins in the Boyd County Invitational.
Boyd visits Russell Tuesday.
FAIRVIEW 4-15
Fairview fell in straight sets in all seven of its matches this week with losses to Ashland, Chesapeake, Raceland, Rowan County, Shelby Valley and Boyd County.
Fairview visits Lawrence County Monday, welcomes Rose Hill Thursday and East Carter Saturday.
ROSE HILL 8-9
Rose Hill went 3-1 this week with wins over Huntington St. Joe, West Carter and Elliott County and a loss to Greenup County.
Isabel Hensley had 10 kills in a straight set win over St. Joe. Lakin Deerfield had eight aces.
Hensley had 15 kills in a 3-2 win over West Carter. Abigail Justus had eight kills. Avary Newell, Hensley and Justus added four aces.
Hensley had 10 kills in the Royals straight set loss to Greenup County.
Rose Hill welcomes Portsmouth East Monday, East Carter Tuesday, visits Fairview Thursday and plays a three-way watch with Huntington St. Joe, Tolsia, WV and Tug Valley, WV on Saturday.
RACELAND 9-2
Raceland went 1-1 this week with a straight set win over Fairview and a straight set loss to Boyd County.
Skyler Brown-Morris had nine kills in the loss to Boyd. Shaelee Holbrook added eight.
Raceland bounced back with a 3-0 win over Fairview. Gracie Reed and Brown-Morris had six kills. Holbrook had five kills and five aces. Kody Haddix and Peyton Mackie added four aces.
Raceland welcomes Greenup County Tuesday, visits Ashland Thursday and plays in the All “A” State Tournament beginning Friday night with matches against Williamsburg and Bishop Brossart.
RUSSELL 4-8
Russell went 1-3 this week with a win over East Carter and losses to Huntington, Cabell Midland and Hurricane, WV.
Carmin Corey had 19 kills and Josie Collins added 13 kills a 3-1 win over East Carter.
Collins had 12 kills in a 2-1 loss to Huntington. Corey added six kills in a 2-0 loss to Midland and had 14 kills in the 2-1 loss to Hurricane.
Russell welcomes Boyd County Tuesday and Greenup County Thursday.
GREENUP COUNTY 8-7
Greenup County went 1-3 this week with a win over Rose Hill and losses to Lawrence County, Whitley County and Floyd Central.
Greenup fell in straight sets to Lawrence. Peyton Powell had seven kills. Hailey Dillow added six.
Greenup defeated Rose Hill 3-0. Powell had 12 kills. Laiken Russell added seven.
Greenup fell to Whitley County, 3-1 in the Class 2A State Tournament. Powell had 12 kills and Dillow had six.
Greenup lost 2-0 to Floyd Central in the Class 2A tournament. Russell had six kills. Powell tallied six blocks.
Greenup County welcomes West Carter Monday, visits Raceland Tuesday and Russell Thursday.
