ASHLAND 17-4
Ashland defeated Raceland, 3-0 this week in the Volleycats only contest. No stats were reported in the win.
Ashland visits Lewis County Wednesday and plays Morgantown, WV and Hurricane, WV on Thursday at Hurricane.
BOYD COUNTY 17-5
Boyd County went 3-3 this week with wins over Russell (3-0), Highlands (2-1) and Boone County (2-0) and losses to Highlands (2-1), Great Crossing (2-0) and Beechwood (2-1). No stats were reported for the week.
Boyd County visits Montgomery County Tuesday, welcomes Fairview Thursday and Rose Hill Saturday.
FAIRVIEW 4-18
Fairview went 0-3 this week with straight set losses to Lawrence County, Rose Hill and East Carter.
Makenzi Slone had eight kills in the loss to Lawrence County. Madison Loving added three aces.
Loving and Sloan had five kills in the loss to Rose Hill.
Slone had 12 kills in the loss to East Carter.
Fairview visits West Carter Monday, Elliott County Tuesday and Boyd County Thursday.
ROSE HILL 12-10
Rose Hill went 4-1 with wins over Fairview, Tug Valley, WV (2-1), Huntington St. Joe (2-0) and Tolsia, WV (2-1) and a loss to East Carter.
Rose Hill fell to East Carter, 3-2. Abigail Justus had 16 kills and Isabel Hensley added 15. Avary Newell had five blocks.
Justus had 12 kills in the win over Fairview and seven against Tolsia.
Rose Hill visits Portsmouth East Monday, welcomes Tolsia Tuesday, Menifee County Thursday, Elliott County Friday and Boyd County Saturday.
RACELAND 11-5
Raceland went 2-3 this week with wins over Greenup County and Williamsburg and losses to Ashland (3-0), Bishop Brossart and St. Henry.
Raceland defeated Greenup, 3-0. Skyler Brown-Morris led the way with eight kills. Gracie Reed paced the Rams with six aces.
Raceland went 1-2 at the All “A” State Tournament. The Rams fell into the consolation bracket but played their way into the finals before losing to Paintsville, 2-0. No stats were reported in from the tournament.
Raceland visits Russell Tuesday and welcomes East Carter Thursday.
RUSSELL 5-9
Russell went 1-1 this week with a 3-2 win over Greenup County and a 3-0 loss to Boyd County.
Carmin Corey had nine kills and Josie Collins added seven in the loss to Boyd County. Corey added three blocks.
Corey and Collins had 12 and 11 kills, respectively in the win over Greenup. Corey had six blocks and four aces. Emily Clark added three aces.
Russell welcomes Raceland Tuesday in a key 63rd District tilt.
GREENUP COUNTY 9-9
Greenup went 1-2 this week with a 3-1 win over West Carter and losses to Raceland, 3-0 and Russell, 3-2.
Peyton Powell had 17 kills in the win over West Carter. Lucy Roy had eight kills. Laiken Russell added seven kills and seven aces.
Russell had seven kills in the loss to Raceland.
Powell had 18 kills, Roy finished with 13 and Russell had 10 in the loss to Russell. Powell had six blocks. Roy added five.
Greenup visits Coal Grove Monday and welcomes Lewis County Tuesday.
