ASHLAND 20-4
Ashland went 3-0 this week with wins over Boyd, Fleming and Menifee County to push their current winning streak to 15 games.
Ashland defeated Boyd County, 70-48. Kenleigh Woods had 30 in the win and went 5 of 7 from downtown. Ella Sellars netted 19. Gabby Karle kicked in 13.
Ashland knocked off Fleming, 91-43 and Menifee County, 74-27. The Kittens placed four players in double figures against Fleming led by Sellars with 19, Brookelyn Duckwyler 17, Jaidyn Gulley 16 and Karle 12. Sellars paced Ashland with 18 points on senior day against Menifee and Karle added 16.
Ashland visits Russell Monday, welcomes George Washington Wednesday and visits Knott County Central Saturday.
BOYD COUNTY 19-8
Boyd County went 1-2 this week with a win over Portsmouth and losses to Ashland and Fairland.
Boyd fell to Ashland, 70-48. Jasmine Jordan led the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Audrey Biggs added 20.
Boyd avenged a season opening loss to Portsmouth with a 66-39 beatdown of the Trojans. Jordan led the Lions with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Biggs added 14. Jada Ray had 13.
Boyd fell to Fairland, 75-57. Jordan tossed in 24 points and Biggs 12.
Boyd welcomes Morgan Tuesday.
FAIRVIEW 4-19
Fairview went 0-3 this week with losses to New Boston, East Carter and Lewis County.
Fairview fell to New Boston, 50-14. Marista Tackett and Bre Moore had four points each.
Fairview lost to East Carter, 67-11. Paige VanBibber led the way with seven.
Fairview fell to Lewis, 52-6.
Fairview visits Greenup Tuesday and Raceland Friday.
63rd DISTRICT
RUSSELL 20-6
Russell went 2-0 this week with wins over Menifee County and Raceland.
Russell hammered Menifee, 74-23. Shaelyn Steele had 15 in the win. Kennedy Darnell added 12. Gabby Oborne kicked in 11. Bella Quinn netted 10.
Russell claimed its 66th consecutive district win with a 79-53 win over Raceland. Steele led the way with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Darnell turned in a career high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as well. Oborne had 11. Courtney Fitzpatrick netted six points and grabbed 12 boards. With the win, Russell secures the top seed in the upcoming district tournament.
Russell welcomes Ashland Monday, visits Portsmouth Tuesday and Wayne, WV Thursday.
RACELAND 11-13
Raceland went 1-2 this week with a district win over Greenup and losses to South Point and Russell.
Raceland defeated Greenup, 50-35. Nim Maynard led the Rams with 18 points. Kennedy Taylor had 12. Carley Boyd finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Boyd led the Rams with 18 points in their 66-59 loss at South Point. Maynard poured in 14. Taylor had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Maynard led the way with 25 points as the Rams fell to Russell, 79-53. Boyd kicked in 16. Taylor grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds. With the loss, the Rams will be the No. 2 seed in the upcoming district tournament.
Raceland welcomes Paintsville Monday, Fairview Friday and visits Augusta Saturday.
GREENUP COUNTY 10-16
Greenup went 2-1 this week with wins over Prestonsburg, 47-25 and Ironton, 38-34 in overtime and a loss to Raceland, 50-35. No stats were reported.
Greenup welcomes Fairview Tuesday and Lawrence County Thursday.
