ASHLAND 22-5
Ashland went 3-1 this week with wins over George Washington, WV, Knott County Central, Elliott County and a loss to Russell.
Ashland fell to Russell, 57-47. Gabby Karle led the way with 15 points. Ella Sellars kicked in 14. The Kitten’s leading scorer Kenleigh Woods did not play due to injury.
Ashland bounced back with a 53-34 win over George Washington. Aryanna Gulley led the way with 14 points. Sellars added 12. Brookelyn Duckwyler snagged 11 rebounds.
Ashland defeated Knott County Central, 60-42. Sellars paced the Kittens with 20 points and Duckwyler added 11.
The Kittens ended the week with a 78-22 win over Elliott County Sunday. Sellars led Ashland with 20 points and Karle pitched in 12.
Ashland visits Montgomery County Monday and welcomes number two in the state George Rogers Clark on Thursday.
BOYD COUNTY 20-8
Boyd County defeated Morgan County, 61-43 in their only contest this week. Jasmine Jordan had 24 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Audrey Biggs kicked in 13. McKenzie Moore added 11.
Boyd visits Russell Monday and welcomes Rowan County Friday.
FAIRVIEW 4-20
Fairview fell to Greenup, 58-5. Marista Tackett scored all five points for the Lady Eagles.
Fairview visits Bath County Monday, welcomes Adams County Christian Tuesday and visits Raceland Thursday.
63rd DISTRICT
RUSSELL 22-6
Russell went 2-0 this week with wins over Ashland and Portsmouth.
Russell defeated Ashland, 57-47. Shaelyn Steele had a game-high 35 points and Bella Quinn added 9.
Russell defeated Portsmouth, 52-48. Quinn led the way with 15 points. Steele added 14. Gabby Oborne had 11.
Russell welcomes Boyd Monday.
RACELAND 12-14
Raceland went 1-1 this week with a double overtime win over Paintsville and a loss to Augusta.
Kennedy Taylor led the Rams with 20 points and 13 rebounds to lift Raceland over Paintsville, 74-70. Nim Maynard added 19 and hit five triples. Carley Boyd finished with 18 and 12 rebounds. Mikenna Lacks grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds.
Raceland fell to Augusta, 69-60. No stats were reported.
Raceland visits Elliott Tuesday, welcomes Fairview Thursday and Prestonsburg Friday.
GREENUP COUNTY 11-17
Greenup County went 1-1 this week with a 58-5 win over Fairview and a 57-49 loss to Lawrence County. Stats were not reported in either game.
Greenup heads to East Carter Monday and West Carter Thursday.
