64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 6-7

   Ashland defeated Boyd County, 7-2, in the only game the Kittens had this week. Kenzi Robinson held Boyd County to only two runs on seven hits in the win. Lauren Spears went 3 for 4 with two doubles. Katie Crouch drove in two.

   Ashland welcomes Fairview Monday and Johnson Central Tuesday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 10-5

   Boyd County fell in its only game this week, losing 7-2 to Ashland. Haylee Thornsberry had two hits and drove in a run in the loss. Jaycie Goad drove in the other Boyd County run.

   Boyd County travels to Greenup County Thursday, welcomes South Point Friday for a doubleheader and entertains Henry Clay and Spring Valley, WV on Saturday.

 

FAIRVIEW 4-9

   Fairview went 1-3 this week, falling to Russell, Hazard and Elliott County while defeating Mason County.

   Kiera Loving had two of the Lady Eagles five hits in the 11-1 loss to Russell. Fairview lost to Elliott County (9-0) and Hazard (14-2) and closed out the Battle in the Hook at Elliott County with a 3-2 win over Mason County.

   Fairview welcomes Portsmouth Thursday and Augusta on Friday.

 

63rd DISTRICT

 

RACELAND 14-6

   Raceland defeated Russell 10-0 in five innings in its only game of the week. Raegan West shutout the Lady Devils, striking out four and allowing only four hits. Chloe Collins doubled with the bases loaded to knock in two runs.

   Raceland welcomed Johnson Central Monday, visits Ironton Tuesday, host Greenup County Wednesday, travels to Russell Thursday and welcomes Lewis County Friday.

 

RUSSELL 9-5

   Russell went 1-2 this week, falling to Raceland and Lewis County in district play while picking up a win over Fairview.

   Savannah Aktinson had two of the three Russell hits in their 10-0 loss to Raceland. Lili Smith had the other hit.

   Smith fanned 10 over 4 1/3 innings in an 11-1 win over Fairview. She also had three hits, a triple and 2RBI. Atkinson, Josie Atkins and Lilly Holland each had two hits. Atkins drove in two with a double and a triple.

   Russell fell 13-0 in five innings to Lewis County.

   Russell welcomes Raceland Thursday and Paintsville Friday.

 

GREENUP COUNTY 9-2

   Greenup County fell in its only game this week, 11-10 to Coal Grove. No stats were reported in the loss.

   Greenup visits Raceland Wednesday, welcomes Boyd County Thursday and visits Fleming County Friday.
