64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 9-8

   Ashland went 3-1 last week with wins over Fairview, Franklin County and Pendleton County while falling to Johnson Central. 

   Taylor Hamilton, Lauren Spears and Tabitha Cassidy had two hits in the 16-0, three inning win over Fairview. Spears had a home run and a triple. Kendall Hilliard also added a triple. 

   Hill and Cassidy turned in the only two hits for the Kittens in 4-1 loss to Johnson Central. 

   Ashland closed with a 12-3 win over Franklin County and 6-1 win over Pendleton County in the Tyler Missbach Memorial Showcase. No stats were reported.

   Ashland welcomes Raceland Tuesday, Russell Wednesday, visits East Carter Thursday and plays Pikeville and Pulaski County on Saturday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 13-7

   Boyd County went 3-2 this week with wins over Elliott County and South Point while falling short to Lawrence County and Greenup County. 

   Emma Borders paced the Lady Lions with three hits while finishing only a home run shy of the cycle in a 6-1 win over Elliott County. Jaycie Goad, Makenna Mulhearn, Alex Blanton and Tori Badgett each had two hits. Sara Bays earned the win with eight strikeouts.

   Borders went 3 for 3 in an 8-5 loss to Lawrence County. Mulhearn, Kylie Peterman, Goad and Emily Shivel each had two hits. Mulhearn and Goad homered in the loss. 

   Megan Castle went 3 for 4 in an 8-5 loss to Greenup County. Shivel and Goad had two hits each. 

   Boyd County hammered out 11 hits in a 16-0 win over South Point in three innings. Peterman had a triple in the win. Boyd County took game two, 12-3 while smashing 21 hits in the win. Mulhearn homered and six Lady Lions players recorded three hits. Sara Bays drove in four. 

   Boyd County welcomes Bath County Monday, Lewis County Tuesday, visits Raceland Thursday and welcomes Elliott County and Belfry on Saturday. 

 

FAIRVIEW 6-11

   Fairview went 2-2 last week, defeating Portsmouth and Augusta while falling to Ashland and Portsmouth.

   Fairview fell 16-0 to Ashland in three innings. Shelby Gibson and Annabelle Menshouse had the only two hits in the loss. 

   Fairview bounced back with a 3-1 win over Portsmouth Thursday. Sydney Johnson went 3 for 3 with a double. Menshouse and Grayce Newcome had two hits. Menshouse went the distance in the circle for the win while striking out 11. 

   Fairview defeated Augusta 15-0 in four innings. Kiera Loving went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs and a pair of doubles. Menshouse drove in three on two hits and scored three runs. She also earned the win with a no-hit bid behind nine strikeouts. 

   Fairview fell 10-7 to Portsmouth Saturday. No stats were reported. 

   Fairview welcomes Bath County Monday, visits East Carter Tuesday, Menifee County Thursday, West Carter Friday and two games with Hannan, WV Saturday.

 

63rd DISTRICT

 

RACELAND 17-6

   Raceland went 3-0 this week with wins over Johnson Central, 4-2, Greenup County, 7-5 and Lewis County, 4-2. 

   Chloe Collins 12th home run of the season helped seal the Lady Rams victory over Greenup County. 

   Raegan West doubled in a run and also struck out six and allowed seven hits from the circle in a complete game win over Lewis County.

   Raceland visits Ashland Tuesday, Wheelersburg Wednesday, welcomes Boyd County Thursday and plays Dixie Heights and Fleming County Saturday.

 

RUSSELL 9-6

   Russell fell in its only game this week, 12-8 to Paintsville. No stats were reported. 

   Russell welcomes East Carter Monday, visits West Carter Tuesday, Ashland Wednesday and welcomes Greenup County Thursday.

 

GREENUP COUNTY 11-4

   Greenup County went 2-2 on the week, defeating Boyd County, 8-5 and Portsmouth Clay, 9-6 while falling 7-5 to Raceland and 6-4 to Fleming County. 

   Skyler Lawrence was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs against Boyd County and her sister Kaylie picked up the win on the mound striking out four Lady Lions.

   Greenup County travels to Lewis County Monday, welcomes Elliott County Wednesday and visits Russell Thursday.
