The calendar has turned to August and that “back to school” feeling has made its annual appearance. While the swimming pools may still be filled with children, it won’t be long until the hallways of our local schools will be filled with those same children who will be eager to learn and mingle with their friends. To help students and teachers get prepared and fired up for another school year, the Ashland Town Center is hosting events to make the transition back into the classroom one to remember.

“We are excited to prepare kids, families, and educators in the Tri-State community for this coming school year,” said Vicki Ramey, General Manager at Ashland Town Center. “This school year will be especially memorable as many students return to in-person learning, and at Ashland Town Center, we want to support guests and offer ways to celebrate the start of an exciting new year in the classroom.”

The Town Center has been collecting school supplies for the past few weeks and will distribute the supplies to the Ashland Alliance. The supplies will then be used for the Backpack Program and distributed to local schools.

On August 3 the Town Center will host their annual Back to School Party from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. According to Ashland Town Center Marketing Director Jaime Bloss, they have a fun filled evening planned. “We will have a craft and snack for kids to do while they are visiting. They will also receive a goody bag with some giveaway items and school supplies. Peanut the Magical Clown will be on-site making balloon animals for kids as well. All items are while supplies last.”

Bloss added that the Ashland Town Center remains focused on providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. All Back to School activities will adhere to our rigorous cleaning and disinfection practices.

As teachers transition back into the classroom, Ashland Town Center will show them some love through Teacher Appreciation Night on August 17 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Educators can enjoy giveaways and snacks which will be available while supplies last. Teacher Appreciation Night will take place in the JCPenney Court.

According to Bloss, “Teachers will receive a bag filled with some goodies from Ashland Town Center. As teachers transition back into the classroom, Ashland Town Center is excited to show them some well-deserved extra love.”

From end of summer celebrations to school year preparations and everything in between, Ashland Town Center’s back to school events are sure to offer a unique and memorable experience for every guest.
