64th DISTRICT BOYS

 

ASHLAND 14-4

   Ashland jumped out to a 22-10 lead and cruised to an 82-57 win over Bardstown in the Tomcats lone game this week. Zander Carter and Colin Porter had 24 points apiece, Ethan Sellars added 15 and Cole Villars tossed in 10.

   Ashland meets Boyd County Tuesday and welcomes Covington Catholic Saturday. 

 

BOYD COUNTY 13-3

   Boyd County defeated Raceland 69-44 in their only contest this week. Brad Newsome led the Lions with 16 points. Rheyce Deboard added 14. Jason Ellis claimed 10 rebounds in the win. 

   Boyd County welcomes Ashland Tuesday, visits Johnson Central Friday and welcomes East Ridge Saturday.

 

FAIRVIEW 5-13

   Fairview went 1-1 this week with a district win over Rose Hill and a loss to Teays Valley Christian. 

   Fairview defeated Rose Hill 66-43 behind Jaxon Manning’s 23 points and 14 rebounds. Tanner Johnson had 15 and Steven Day added 14. Camron Mitchell led the Eagles on the glass with 16 rebounds. 

   Fairview fell to Teays Valley Christian, 69-67. No stats were reported in the loss. 

   Fairview welcomes Greenup County Tuesday, visits East Carter Wednesday and Martin County Friday. 

 

ROSE HILL 1-18

   Rose Hill dropped both contests this week, falling to Fairview and Jenkins.

   The Royals came up short to Fairview, 66-43. Chase Pennington had 14 in the losing effort. Christian Blevins chipped in 11. Luke Pennington added 10. Collin Wilburn grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss. 

   Rose Hill lost to Jenkins 70-51. No stats were reported in the loss. 

   Rose Hill welcomes Portsmouth Monday, travels to Covenant, WV Friday and Covington Latin on Saturday.

 

63rd DISTRICT BOYS

 

RACELAND 8-9

   Raceland went 1-1 this week with a loss to Boyd County and a win over Morgan County. 

   The Rams fell 69-44 to Boyd County. Andrew Floyd had 12 in the loss. 

   Raceland bounced back with an 80-57 throttling of Morgan County. Kyle Broughton hit a school record 11 3-pointers in the win. 

   Raceland visits West Carter Tuesday, Greenup County Friday and welcomes Menifee County Saturday. 

 

RUSSELL 10-3

   Due to weather, Russell did not compete this week. 

   Russell welcomes Fleming County Tuesday, travels to Lewis County Thursday and welcomes Lewis County Saturday. 

 

GREENUP COUNTY 

6-10

   Greenup County lost to Lewis County, 53-47 in a district tilt. Carson Wireman led the Musketeers with 12 points in the loss. 

   Greenup County visits Fairview Tuesday, welcomes Raceland Friday in a key district matchup and visits Morgan County Saturday.
