A popular business and a go-to destination for family fun at the KYOVA Mall will be closing its doors Aug. 10.
Extreme Air Trampoline Park announced Sunday evening on their Facebook page that they will be closing the indoor trampoline park.
On their page the business shared a post that read:
“It is with a heavy heart we announce that Extreme Air will be closing our Ashland location. The time has come for us to leave the KYOVA Mall. We have been on the lookout for other possible homes in the Boyd County area without success thus far. We love the area and our customers and have tried to avoid this decision. Saturday Aug. 10, will be our last day at this location.”
The post went on to say that they have not given up hope of finding a new location in Boyd County and asked the community not to give up on the business.
Recently, Extreme Air announced an expansion to their business by opening a second location in Barboursville, West Virginia, at the Huntington Mall in the old Toys-R-Us building.
“We hope to see you soon at our new location in Barboursville at the Huntington Mall. Many of our current employees will be coming with us. Thank you for your patronage,” the business posted.
Once news broke of the closure around 8 p.m. comments on Facebook came flooding in.
“This is so sad!” Dawn LeMaster posted. “I wish more people would invest in small business and more importantly safe places for our children to play.”
“Ugh. Something fun for the county kids, now it’s leaving,” Kayla Fluty commented.
While jumpers will have to travel to Barboursville to enjoy the indoor trampoline park, they will not have to wait long. According to the businesses Facebook page, Extreme Air Trampoline Park is currently in the hiring process for the new location and hoping to open in mid-September.
