The El Hasa Shriner’s Bargain Bazaar returns for its second year on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Last year’s fundraiser was so successful and generated such an outpouring of community support that El Hasa decided to bring it back again this year with double the vendors and additional activities, event coordinator Lena Justice said. “We have over 50 vendors and a gas grill for the raffle,” Justice shared.

Justice explained that the Shriners were looking for a fundraiser that would attract maximum community interest without incurring high overhead expenses. “We put it together fairly quickly last year with 20 vendors and about 30 spaces rented out. It was so popular and so many people wanted to do it again that we have over 50 vendors and 60 spaces rented out this year. Everyone loves it because there is something for everyone,” Justice said about the growing event.

“We are super excited, and we’ve received tons of positive feedback. Last year we gave away a Blackstone Grill donated by Clay’s Performance,” she said of the raffle prize. “This year, we are giving away a five-burner gas grill with a cover and a full tank of gas, donated by Tri-County Auto and Truck Parts. Raffle tickets are $10 each, which are on sale now, and the drawing will take place the night of the event,” Justice said.

Justice added that food will be available, and the bar area will be open, serving soft drinks and water. “I think it’s going to be a really good day because we have everything under the sun coming,” Justice said. “We have homemade jerky and homemade jams and jellies, and we even have permanent jewelry. There will be yard sale spaces, antique spaces, and pretty much anything you can think of will probably be here on Saturday.”

“The event starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, and it’s free to come in and walk around,” Justice said. “There’s no entrance fee, and everyone who comes through the door will receive a door prize ticket. The vendors are donating items to be given away as door prizes, and we will give those away right before we do the drawing for the grill,” she said. The raffle tickets, of course, are $10 and can be purchased before or at the event. As long as contact information is provided, you don’t need to be present to win.

“We should begin the drawings around 3:00 p.m.,” Justice said. “And we will probably do a live drawing on the El Hasa Facebook page.”

Justice noted that the event’s vendors come from all around the region, so attendees can expect to see new items they might not normally encounter or purchase. The promise of something for everyone is a very real one, she said. “We have new items and used items, some handmade, and there will be some items you probably won’t see anywhere else. And,” she added, “we will be having it rain or shine because the event is indoors.”

Justice encourages anyone interested in seeing what the event has to offer or in buying raffle tickets to visit the El Hasa Facebook page for more information. “Or you can just come out on Saturday and be surprised at everything we’re going to have.”
