64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 19-7

 

Ashland defeated Huntington Expression Prep, 82-58 in their final regular season game. Zander Carter led the Tomcats with 26 points followed by Drew Smith with 18 points and Caleb Clarke’s 16 points. Tyson LaLonde tossed in 13.

 

Ashland will play the winner of Boyd and Fairview Thursday night in the 64th District Championship.

 

BOYD COUNTY 20-10

 

Boyd went 1-1 this week with a win over Greenup and a 76-57 loss to South Laurel.

 

Five players finished in double figures in Boyd’s 95-66 win over Greenup. Cole Hicks led the Lions with 24 including six triples. Jacob Spurlock finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Josh Kelley added 13. Ethan Rardon had 11. Rhett Holbrook tossed in 10.

 

Boyd County meets Fairview Monday night at 8pm in the opening round of the 64th District Tournament.

 

FAIRVIEW 4-22

 

Fairview went 0-3 this week with losses to Elliott, Lawrence and East Carter.

 

Fairview fell to Elliott, 69-34. Eli Shope had 17 in the loss.

 

Fairview lost to Lawrence, 90-43. Aiden Daily paced the Eagles with 13. Jace Manning had 12.

 

Fairview came up short to East Carter, 53-42. Manning led the way with 21 points. Shope kicked in 11.

 

Fairview meets Boyd County in the opening round of the 64th District Tournament Monday at 8pm at Ashland.

 

63RD DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 10-19

 

Greenup went 1-1 this week with a loss to Boyd and a 41-32 win over West Carter.

 

Bryson Chandley led the Musketeers with 24 points in their 95-66 loss to Boyd. Gavin Herrington added 18. Kasey Gammon netted 12. Bradley Adkins finished with 10.

 

Greenup meets Raceland Tuesday night at 6pm in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament at Raceland.

 

RACELAND 20-8

 

Raceland went 2-0 this week with wins over Bath County and Nicholas County, 62-58.

 

Jonah Arnett led the Rams with 20 points. Connor Thacker added 17 points. Charles Welch had 11.

 

Raceland meets Greenup Tuesday night at 6pm in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament.

 

RUSSELL 13-12

 

Russell defeated East Carter, 44-41. Kaiden Benge led the Devils with 14 points. Caleb Rimmer kicked in 13 points. Tyler Cordial had 12.

 

Russell meets Lewis County Tuesday night at 7:45pm in the opening round of the 63rd District at Raceland.
