Ashland went 3-0 this week with wins over George Washington, Huntington (52-49) and Fleming County.
Ashland defeated GW, 64-60 to open the week. Zander Carter paced the Tomcats with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Preston Hoskins added 12.
Ashland held off Fleming County, 69-59. Hoskins led the Tomcats with 23 points behind seven 3s. Caleb Clarke had 16. Carter kicked in 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Ashland welcomes Rowan County Tuesday, Johnson Central Wednesday, Lawrence County Friday and Menifee County Saturday to close out the regular season.
BOYD COUNTY 17-8
Boyd County went 4-0 this week to run its winning streak to 10 games. Boyd defeated Pikeville, East Carter, Elliott County and Lewis County this week.
Boyd held off Pikeville, 63-61. Jacob Spurlock led the Lions with 22 points. Cole Hicks added 14. Rhett Holbrook netted 10.
Boyd pulled away from East Carter in the second half for a 79-51 win. Jackson Childers led the Lions with 20 points while scoring his first six on three dunks. Spurlock kicked in 19 behind five 3s. Holbrook and Hicks each had 10. Holbrook led the way with 10 rebounds.
Spurlock led the Lions with 34 points in their 85-70 win at Elliott County. Hicks had 22. Childers finished with 18.
The first points of the night for Boyd County in their contest with Lewis came on a Jacob Spurlock free throw which vaulted him into the history books as it moved the junior into sole possession as the All-Time leading scorer at Boyd. His free throw pushed him past former Lions legend Frank Lee’s 2,731 points. Spurlock finished the game with 20 as Boyd cruised to an 82-57 win. But Spurlock was not the only Lion to shine in the win. Ethan Rardon was perfect on the night, going 9 for 9 from the field including 5 of 5 from downtown for a game-high 23. Childers had 17. Holbrook kicked in 12.
Boyd welcomes Russell Monday and Fleming County Tuesday.

Fairview fell to Russell, 68-39 in their only game this week. Tanner Reihs led the Eagles with 18 points. Roman Mayes had eight. Tevin Smith added six points and eight rebounds.
Fairview visits West Carter Tuesday, welcomes Phelps Friday and Lewis Saturday.

GREENUP COUNTY 9-15

Greenup went 2-2 this week with wins over Rock Hill and Morgan County (68-67) and losses to Raceland and Russell.
Greenup fell to Raceland, 58-54. Kasey Gammon had 23 in the loss. Bryson Chandley added 15 and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Greenup bounced back with a 69-49 win over Rock Hill. Chandley had 23 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Bradley Adkins added 12. Hunter Holbrook and Gammon each had 11.
Greenup fell to Russell, 59-52. Chandley led the way with 16 points. Adkins had 12. Gammon finished with 11. Gavin Herrington kicked in 10.
Greenup welcomes Raceland Monday, Lucasville Valley Tuesday, Lewis County Thursday and visits Mason County Saturday.

Connor Thacker had 20 points to lead Raceland to a 58-54 win over Greenup. Jonah Arnett kicked in 11. Reece Hicks had 10.
Raceland fell to Lewis, 61-38. Jake Waller led the Rams with 13 points. Thacker grabbed 11 rebounds.
Raceland visits Greenup Monday, welcomes Lawrence Tuesday and Russell Friday.

Russell held off Greenup, 59-52. Burgess led all scorers with 26 points behind six 3s. Kaiden Benge kicked in 10.
Russell visits Boyd Monday, Raceland Friday and Bath County Saturday.
