64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 16-9

Ashland went 3-0 this week with wins over Russell, Boyd County and Pikeville, 58-53.

 

Ashland defeated Russell, 70-41. Gabby Karle led the Kittens with 21 points. Brookelyn Duckwyler finished with 19. Kenleigh Woods added 12. Alexis Troxler netted eight and grabbed 11 rebounds.

 

Ashland defeated Boyd, 65-48. Karle, Duckwyler and Woods each had 16. Karle connected on four triples. Jenna Delaney grabbed 11 rebounds. Duckwyler grabbed 10.

 

Boyd welcomes Montgomery County Monday and visits GRC Thursday.

 





BOYD COUNTY 16-9

Boyd went 1-1 this week with a win over Lawrence and a loss to Ashland.

 

Boyd defeated Lawrence, 40-38. Kollyn Groves had 13 points. Bella Opell finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sophia Stevens grabbed 10 rebounds.

 

Boyd fell to Ashland, 65-48. Jada Ray and Groves each finished with 16.

 

Boyd welcomes Russell Monday and visits Rowan County Friday.

 








FAIRVIEW 5-19

 

Fairview went 1-1 this week with a win over Elliott County and a loss to East Carter.

 

Fairview fell to East Carter, 70-25. Madison Loving had nine points and eight rebounds.

 

Fairview defeated Elliott, 48-27. Loving paced the Eagles with 17 points and 20 rebounds. Emma Pierce had 14. Bre Moore tallied 12.

 

Fairview visits Hannan, WV Monday, welcomes Elliott County Wednesday, West Carter Thursday and Bath County Friday.

 


63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 3-23

 

Greenup went 0-2 this week with losses to Raceland and Fleming County, 60-40.

 

Greenup fell to Raceland, 61-26. Maddy Steele had nine in the losing effort.

 

Greenup welcomes East Carter Monday and West Carter Friday.

 

RACELAND 17-10

 

Raceland went 3-0 this week with wins over Greenup, Tolsia, WV and Pendleton Co., 74-58.

 

Raceland defeated Greenup, 61-26. Nim Maynard led the Rams with 20 points. Annie Lyon had 14 points and nine rebounds.

 

Raceland knocked off Tolsia, 60-36. Maynard paced the Rams with 19.

 

Maynard scored her 2,000th point in the win over Pendleton County, marking the first athlete for girls or boys’ basketball to do so at Raceland.

 

Raceland welcomes West Carter Tuesday and visits Lawrence County Thursday.

 

RUSSELL 21-6

Russell went 2-1 this week with wins over Lawrence County and Bath County, 54-41 and a loss to Ashland.

 

Russell fell to Ashland, 70-41. Kenley Kouns led the way with 10 points. Abby Sharp netted eight. Kamryn Fleming and Bethany Allen each grabbed nine rebounds.

 

Russell knocked off Lawrence, 43-40. Kennedy Darnell tallied 14. Fleming had 10. Allen netted eight and grabbed 10 rebounds.

 

Russell visits Boyd Monday and welcomes Rowan Wednesday.
