64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 4-5

Emilee Neese leads Ashland in scoring averaging 10.6 points a game.

Ashland went 1-2 in the Queen of the Commonwealth with a 53-38 win over Ballard and losses to Bethlehem (70-51) and Dupont Manual (65-56).

 

Emilee Neese led the Kittens with 15 points in the loss to Bethlehem. Aryanna Gulley kicked in 12. Brookelyn Duckwyler added 11.

 

Jenna Delaney had 13 points in the win over Ballard. Duckwyler added 12. Neese netted 11.

 

Neese paced the Kittens with 16 points in the loss to Manual. Delaney added 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Duckwyler had 10.

 

Ashland visits North Laurel Monday, welcomes Corbin Friday and visits Minford on Saturday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 7-4

 

Boyd went 3-0 this week with wins over Raceland, 61-58, Tates Creek 49-42 and Boyle County 69-50.

 

Kollyn Groves had 17 in the win over Raceland. Bella Opell added 16. Myla Hamilton kicked in 15.

 

Boyd travels to Raceland Tuesday and Bath County Friday.

 

FAIRVIEW 1-12

Fairview's Madison Loving secures the rebound against Belfry.

Fairview went 0-3 this week with losses to Belfry, 62-27, Magoffin County, 60-32, and Lewis County 45-11.

 

Madison Loving led the way with 13 points and 14 rebounds in the loss to Belfry.

 

Fairview’s next contest comes in the All “A” Tournament on Jan. 7.

 









63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 1-9

 

Greenup went 0-2 this week with losses to Nicholas County, 73-36 and Bath County 41-33. No stats were reported.

 

Greenup welcomes Rowan County Saturday.

 

RACELAND 6-4

Raceland's Allayson Rigsby puts up a shot in front of the Magoffin County defender.

Raceland went 2-2 this week with wins over Magoffin County, 69-47 and Belfry, 53-35 and losses to Boyd, 61-58, and Pikeville 45-37. Nim Maynard scored 19 points and Emma Broughton 14 against Magoffin. Allayson Rigsby and Emma Broughton pitched in 14 each.

Maynard and Rigsby both tossed in 16 in the win over Belfry.

 

Raceland welcomes Boyd Tuesday and visits Lewis County Thursday.

 





RUSSELL 7-3

 

Russell fell to West Jessamine, 52-34 and defeated Harlan, 79-74 in the Defender Classic at Bryan Station. Gabby Oborne had a team-high 24 points in the win over Harlan. Kennedy Darnell added 16 and also led the Lady Devils with 16 against West Jessamine.

 

Russell visits Lewis County Friday.
