64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 3-4

Ashland defeated East Carter, 58-39 and fell to Butler, 67-51 and Bethlehem 70-51 in the Queen of the Commonwealth. Ashland played Ballad Sunday but because of early deadline the score was not available.

 

 Jenna Delaney led the Kittens with 11 points in the win over East Carter.

 

Ashland is idle until Dec. 30 when the Kittens head to North Laurel.

 


BOYD COUNTY 4-4

Boyd went 1-2 this week with a 65-30 win over Greenup and losses to Lexington Dunbar 48-41 and Garrad County 61-56. The Lady Lions faced Raceland Sunday in the Girl’s Gateway Holiday Classic being played at Montgomery County.

 

Kollyn Groves had 18 in the win over Greenup. Jada Ray kicked in 16. Bella Opell finished with 11.

 

Boyd heads to Somerset for games with Tates Creek and Boyle County on Dec. 27-28.

 







FAIRVIEW 1-8

 

Fairview fell to Rock Hill, 64-21 and Dawson Bryant 47-10. Bre Moore led the way with 10 points against Rock Hill. Madison Loving had five points and five rebounds.

 

Fairview visits Scioto Northwest Monday and plays Belfry on Dec. 26 in the Ohio River Classic at Raceland.

 

63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 1-7

Greenup fell to Boyd County, 65-30, West Carter, 57-54 and Powell County 40-30. The Lady Musketeers have yet to report any stats this season.

 

Greenup is idle until January 2 after games in the Ladycat Classic at Bath County against Nicholas County and Bath County Dec. 22-23.

 













RACELAND 4-2

 

Raceland went 1-2 this week with a 59-45 win over South Webster and losses to South Laurel, 47-30 and Great Crossing 58-48.

 

Nim Maynard led the Rams with 25 points in the win over South Webster. She hit six threes in the win while breaking the scoring record for the girls which was previously held by Whitney Seals (1614). Allayson Rigsby kicked in 14. Brooke Campbell had nine points and a game-high 16 rebounds.

 

Raceland opens the Ohio River Classic on Dec. 26 against Magoffin County.

 

RUSSELL 6-2

Russell went 2-1 this week with a 46-35 loss to Montgomery County and wins over Wayne, WV. 61-44 and East Carter 60-45.

 

Kennedy Darnell led the Devils with 11 points in the loss to Montgomery County. Abby Sharp had 10 points and seven rebounds.

 

Kenley Kouns had a team high 24 points against Wayne.

 

Gabby Oborne had 17 points in the win over East Carter. Kouns added 15 and Sharp 12.

 

Russell meets West Jessamine in the Defender Classic at Bryan Station on Dec. 27.
