After defeating Estill County 1-0 in the opening round, Boyd County fell to North Laurel, 1-0 in the quarterfinals ending a magical run by the Lions in the first ever state tournament appearance in program history.

  Faith Burnside netted the winning goal off an Vivianne Allen assist for the win over Estill County. Sophia Stevens worked the shutout from the net with four saves. Stevens also tallied four saves in the loss to North Laurel in the quarterfinals as Boyd County closes the season at 19-3-1.

 

Burnside was named to the State All-Tournament team.
