ASHLAND 2-5-2

 

Ashland defeated Lawrence County, 2-1 in the Tomcats only game this week. Silas Pierzala had both Ashland goals. Dean Young added an assist. Troy Barnett surrendered a goal in the net but had three saves in the win.

 

Ashland welcomes East Carter Tuesday and visit Boyd on Tuesday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 3-3

 

Boyd went 1-1 this week with a 6-2 win over Estill County and a 2-0 loss to Rowan. Cameron Stanton had two goals and two assists in the win over Estill. Joseph Blankenship, Brayden Hale, Alex Maynard and Eli Simpkins added goals. Caleb Clark, Conner Davis and Simpkins tacked on assists.

 

Boyd visits Russell Tuesday, welcomes Ashland Thursday and Pikeville Saturday.

 

RUSSELL 5-4

 

Russell added a pair of wins this week with a 6-4 victory over Winfield, WV and a 3-0 shutout of Johnson Central.

Gavin Grandinson and Ben Totten each had two goals in the win over Winfield. Gunnar Hignite and Elijah Neel also netted goals. Noah Miller, Ethan Stamper, Brylee Mullins, Gavin Skaggs and Neel had assists.

 

Totten recorded a hat trick in the shutout of Johnson Central. Mullins and Neel had assists.

 

Russell welcomes Boyd Tuesday, Rowan County Thursday and visit Hurricane, WV Saturday.

 

GREENUP COUNTY 1-6

Greenup went 1-2 this week with a 5-4 win over Morgan County and losses to Lawrence County (8-0) and Wolfe County (7-1).

 

Brantley Snider netted two goals for Greenup’s first win of the season over Morgan. He also added an assist. Elijah Beach, Ty Logan and Carter Nunley each had goals. Owen Collier had nine saves in the goal.

 

Greenup welcomes West Carter Thursday.
