Girl’s Soccer Recap 8-27-24

ASHLAND 2-1-1

 

Ashland finished in a 3-3 tie with Johnson Central in their only game this week. Kenleigh Woods, Meisha Salisbury and Mary Bolen each netted a goal. Woods added an assist.

 

Ashland visits Rowan Thursday in the Kittens only game this week.

 

BOYD COUNTY 4-1

 

Boyd County went 2-1 this week with 2-0 wins over East Carter and Martin County. Faith Burnside scored both goals against East Carter. Burnside and Lauren Craft each had a goal against Martin.  Boyd suffered its first loss of the season, 1-0 to Fleming County.

 

Boyd welcomes Bath County Monday and Menifee County Thursday.

 

RUSSELL 2-1

 

Russell defeated Chesapeake, 17-0 in the Devils only game of the week. Alyssa Truett netted four goals. Ava Barker and Emma Stamper had three goals each. Amaile Carroll and Addison Conley each had two goals. Katie Keeton, Laney Hensley and Madelyn Wells had a goal each. Sophia Bagby added four assists. Gabrielle Willams earned the shutout with a pair of saves in the net.

 

Russell visits West Carter Thursday and welcomes Menifee County Saturday.

 

GREENUP COUNTY 0-4

 

Greenup went 0-3 this week with losses to Fleming County, 8-0, Rowan County, 4-0 and Menifee County 6-0. No stats were reported.

 

Greenup welcomes East Carter Monday, Bath County Thursday and visit St. Pat on Saturday.
