For The Ashland Beacon

Come join us for a delightful day of good food, great music, and even better company at the ACTC Culinary Café on Thursday, April 3, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is the ACTC campus on Tech Drive, off of the Industrial Parkway.

In partnership with Jazz Alive, a non-profit in Cincinnati that is dedicated to the                        promotion and advancement of the uniquely American music art form of jazz and its practitioners, and Ohio University Southern, the Greenup Extension Community Arts Program is excited to bring this educational event to Kentucky residents. You can expect to hear stories from professional touring musicians Tim Warfield, Dan Karlsberg, Justin Dawson, and Philip Tipton as they share about living out their passion as musicians. They will answer questions and do a short demo concert after lunch. Our event features a delicious menu of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, roll, green beans, brownie, and a fountain soda, prepared by our talented chefs, accompanied by the smooth sounds of live jazz music.

Whether you're a jazz enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to spend your day (including lunch), this event is perfect for everyone. Don't miss out on this unique experience - reserve your spot now!

The QR code will allow you to register for the event using Eventbrite, online reservations and tickets. Students will be admitted FREE of charge – including lunch! If you are an adult bringing a student, please register and pay the $10 ticket fee online. You can also pay prior to the event at the Greenup Extension Office, 35 Wurtland Avenue, Wurtland, KY. Please call 606.836.0201 to secure your free student admission – space is limited.

This event takes place during spring break for area schools. If you are looking for something to do that is fun, unique, and educational while the kids are out of school – this is perfect! All ages are welcome. Homeschool students are also welcome.

These workshops and concerts are made possible by a POWER Grant received from the Appalachian Regional Commission in partnership with the Lawrence Economic Development Corporation. Marty Conley, Lawrence County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
