The parade lineup begins at 8:30 a.m., with the parade kicking off at 10 a.m. from the courthouse at 2800 Louisa Street. This year’s Grand Marshal is District Judge Devon Reams.

Throughout the day, enjoy carnival rides and concessions on 26th Street starting at 11 a.m. Vendors and local crafters will be present from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cupcakes and popcorn will be available from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to kick off Catlettsburg’s 175th Birthday Celebration.

Enjoy a variety of musical acts throughout the day. The courthouse stage will feature a lineup of live music including Nitro Band at 11 a.m., Griffin Mason at noon, Mattox Hale at 1 p.m., and Buddy Adkins at 2 p.m. The evening will feature performances by Confederate Railroad at 7 p.m. and Pam Tillis at 8:30 p.m.

Gail Sammons, a member of the Catlettsburg Community Leadership Council, explained that “Events like these are great because it gets everyone out of their house. People come from all around to come to this. For many people it’s like a homecoming. We really try to have a little something for everyone.” Sammons invites everyone to come on out and join the city of Catlettsburg for a weekend filled with celebration, community, and history as we honor the spirit of Labor Day and the rich heritage of the town.
