64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 18-1

Ashland went 2-0 this week with straight set wins over Greenup County and South Point.

 

Olivia Wiley led the way with 17 kills in the win over Greenup. Mena Pittman added 12. Sadie Chaffins kicked in eight. Ashland recorded nine aces.

 

Ashland welcomes Russell Tuesday.

 













BOYD COUNTY 9-8

Boyd County went 2-0 this week with straight set wins over Wayne, WV and Fairview.

 

Lilah Thornbury slammed home 14 kills and Payton Jones had 12 in the win over Wayne. Adria Queen finished with seven. Jones led the team with six aces.

 

Sophia Clark paced Boyd with seven kills in the win over Fairview. Hallie Barnett added six.

 

Boyd visits South Point Monday, welcomes Rose Hill Tuesday, East Carter Thursday and plays Lexington Catholic and Central Hardin Friday night in the Kentucky Challenge.

 




FAIRVIEW 5-11

Fairview went 1-2 this week with a 3-0 win over Rose Hill and losses to West Carter and Boyd.

 

Fairview fell to West Carter, 3-2. Makenzi Slone had 21 kills and eight aces in the losing effort. Madison Loving added eight kills.

 

Loving led the Eagles with 15 kills and Slone finished with 14 in a 3-0 win over Rose Hill. Karly Caldwell added six.

 

Slone had eight kills in the 3-0 loss to Boyd. Loving finished with six.

 

Fairview visits Ironton Monday, welcomes East Carter Tuesday and visits Raceland Thursday.



 

ROSE HILL 1-15

 

Rose Hill went 0-5 this week with losses to Lawrence County, Fairview, Raceland and Lewis County. All were in straight sets.

 

Rose Hill welcomes Greenup County Monday, visits Boyd Tuesday and welcomes Sugar Creek Christian Thursday.

 

63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 11-4

Greenup went 1-1 this week with a 3-0 win over West Carter and a 3-0 loss to Ashland.

 

Lucy Roy led Greenup with nine kills in the loss to Ashland. Peyton Powell added five.

 

Kaylee Braden had 13 kills and Roy finished with 10 in the Musketeers win over West Carter. Powell had eight kills. Addyson Gordon led the team with four aces.

 

Greenup visits Rose Hill Monday, welcomes Lewis County Tuesday and will play in the Whitefield Invitational Tournament Saturday.

 

RUSSELL 7-8

 

Russell went 2-2 this week with straight set wins over Raceland and Lewis and 2-0 losses to Ballard and Ryle.

 

Carmin Corey led the Devils past Raceland with 10 kills. Kennedy Darnell added eight. Emmy Holley had seven.

 

Sydney Sizemore put down nine kills and Holley and Jaycee Hall kicked in with six each in a win over Lewis. Hall also had five blocks.

 

Corey had six kills in the loss to Ballard. Holley had five in the loss to Ryle.

 

Russell visits Ashland Tuesday.

 

RACELAND 8-11

 

Raceland went 1-3 this week with a 3-0 win over Rose Hill and losses to Russell, Sayre and Somerset Christian.

 

Allayson Rigsby had 10 kills in the loss to Russell, 3-0.

 

Jaylyn Hicks had 12 kills and Rigsby finished with 10 in the win over Rose Hill. Savannah Zewald tallied seven aces.

 

Raceland visits West Carter Tuesday and welcomes Fairview Thursday.
