64th DISTRICT
ASHLAND 16-1
Ashland went 5-1 this week with wins over East Carter, Fairview, Anderson County, TN, Trimble County and Johnson Central while suffering their first loss of the year to Lexington Catholic.
Ashland rolled past East Carter in straight sets. Mena Pittman had 16 kills. Olivia Wiley added 14. Grace Clark had three aces.
Ashland knocked off Fairview in straight sets. Pittman put down 15 kills. Sadie Chaffins and Wiley each had nine. Wiley had seven aces.
Ashland welcomes Greenup Monday and visits South Point Thursday.
BOYD COUNTY 8-8
Boyd went 3-3 this week with wins over Rowan County, Boone County and Covington Holy Cross and losses to Great Crossing, North Oldham and Bryan Station.
Boyd handled Rowan in straight sets. Payton Jones led the Lions with 10 kills. Lilah Thornbury had eight. Hallie Barnett tallied five blocks. Sophia Clark kicked in four more.
Boyd welcomes Wayne, WV Tuesday and Fairview Thursday.
FAIRVIEW 4-9
Fairview went 0-2 this week with straight set losses to Ashland and Greenup County.
Madison Loving led the Eagles with nine kills in the loss to Ashland.
Fairview welcomes West Carter Monday, visits Rose Hill Tuesday and Boyd on Thursday.
ROSE HILL 1-10
Rose Hill fell to West Carter, 3-1. No stats were reported in the loss.
Rose Hill welcomes Lawrence County Monday, Fairview Tuesday visits Raceland Thursday and welcomes Lewis County and Menifee County Saturday.
63rd DISTRICT
GREENUP COUNTY 10-3
Greenup went 1-1 this week with a straight set win over Fairview and a district loss to Raceland, 3-2.
Greenup fell to Raceland to open the week. Peyton Powell led the Musketeers with 17 kills. Kaylee Braden had 16. Hailey Dillow and Lucy Roy added nine each. Dillow tallied 10 blocks.
Greenup bounced back with a win over Fairview. Braden had 11 kills. Roy finished with 10. Powell had nine.
Greenup visits Ashland Monday, West Carter Tuesday and Rowan Thursday.
RUSSELL 5-6
Russell defeated Rowan County, 3-0 in their only game this week. Carmin Corey led the way with nine kills. Kennedy Darnell had six.
Russell welcomes Raceland Tuesday in a key 63rd District seeding contest, visits Lewis County Thursday and plays Cooper and Owensboro Friday in Lexington.
RACELAND 7-8
Raceland went 1-1 this week with a key district win over Greenup, 3-2 and a 3-2 loss to South Point.
Allayson Rigsby led the Rams with 14 kills in the loss to South Point. Peyton Mackie kicked in eight. Kody Haddix had seven. Bryna Wellman tallied four aces.
Rigsby led Raceland past Greenup with 28 kills, five blocks and four aces to pick up a big win in district. Annie Bradshaw had four blocks. Jaylyn Hicks finished with seven kills.
Raceland visits Russell Tuesday and welcomes Rose Hill Thursday.
