ASHLAND 6-0
Ashland went 2-0 this week with wins over Rose Hill and Russell.
Olivia Wiley led the Volleycats with 10 kills. Sydney Mertz and Mena Pittman had six each. Ashland tallied 15 aces in the straight set win over the Royals.
Ashland defeated Russell, 3-1. Wiley had 18 kills in the win. Pittman added 17.
Ashland visits Boyd County Tuesday and Raceland Thursday.
BOYD COUNTY 2-2
Boyd went 2-1 this week with straight set wins over Lewis County and Raceland and a 2-1 loss to Wayne, WV.
Payton Jones led the way over Lewis with 12 kills. Lilah Thornbury had nine. Sophia Clark added seven.
Jones had 12 kills in the loss to Wayne. Thornbury had seven. Hallie Barnett added six.
Thornbury led the Lions with 11 kills and Jones added 10 in the win over Raceland.
Boyd welcomes Ashland Tuesday and Russell Thursday.
FAIRVIEW 2-6
Fairview went 0-4 this week with losses to West Carter (3-1), East Carter (3-2) and 2-0 to Johnson Central and Lawrence County.
Makenzi Slone led the way in the loss to West Carter with 21 kills and seven aces. Madison Loving had six.
Fairview welcomes Bath County Tuesday and Rock Hill Thursday.
ROSE HILL 1-6
Rose Hill picked up its first win of the year in a 2-0 defeat of Man, WV. The Royals fell to Ashland, 3-0 and 2-0 to Huntington St. Joe. No stats were reported.
Rose Hill visits Greenup Tuesday and Tolsia on Thursday.
63rd DISTRICT
GREENUP COUNTY 5-0
Greenup picked up wins over Lawrence County, 3-2 and Lewis County, 3-0.
Greenup outlasted Lawrence in the Musketeers first five set match of the season. Peyton Powell led the way with 18 kills and five blocks. Kaylee Braden had 13 kills. Hailey Dillow and Lucy Roy added seven each.
Powell and Braden led the way in a straight set win over Lewis. Powell had 13 kills. Braden added 12.
Greenup welcomes Rose Hill Tuesday.
RUSSELL 1-2
Russell fell to Ashland, 3-1 in their only game this week. Carmin Corey paced the Devils with 11 kills. Kennedy Darnell added 10. Sydney Sizemore had nine. Jaycee Hall finished with eight kills and six blocks.
Russell visits Boyd Thursday in their only game this week.
RACELAND 4-3
Raceland went 1-1 this week with a 3-0 win over East Carter and a 3-0 loss to Boyd County.
Allayson Rigsby had 12 kills and five blocks in the win over East Carter. Camerynn Gillum added six kills. Bryna Wellman and Kody Haddix each had five aces.
Rigsby led the Rams with 11 kills in the loss to Boyd. Peyton Mackie kicked in eight kills.
Raceland visits Lewis County Tuesday and welcomes Ashland Thursday.
